Bespoke, Tailor Made Suits

Tailor Made Suit, London
  • The jackets are made with a hand/floating body canvas this gives a soft natural feel to the jacket and enables shape to be constructed into the chest area to give the fit and to enhance the figure.

  • Linings and buttonholes are all sewn by hand. There are over a thousand of hand stitches in a jacket alone, this takes many hours of work and is one of the reasons why bespoke suits cost more.

  • Trousers are hand finished with a metal zip fly or button fly if choice of preference, we hand sew the hooks and bars in the waistbands to make the waistband stiffened, this is to stop any rolling over.

  • The trimmings, which are the linings, canvases, buttons and pockets, are of the best quality.

  • The buttons will be either real horn, we use Silk thread to shape and make the buttonholes.

  • There are 3 fittings after each fitting they are then given to our tailor to finish.

  • The foundation of Oliver Littley's Tailor Made Suits are all created with a natural horse/camel hair canvas. On top of this base the exterior shell and lining are layered using over 1000 baste stitches to create a raw jacket. Then once the final jacket edges are finished; the basting is removed and all the parts float. Unlike most modern off the racks suits, which are typically fused with glue, a fully-canvassed suit will conform to owner's body overtime like a well worn pair of jeans.

You should allow up to 8 to 10 weeks for completion.
